Account Manager - Inside Sales

Overall Purpose:

To win in-house business by creating opportunities and building relevant relationships with designated business as well as proactively approaching new business.

Work alongside colleagues to expand client portfolio and achieve team target.
Key Accountabilities:
Customer:
• Responds to generated client enquiries and issues indicative proposals and quotes.
• Proactively seeks new opportunities for future sales.
• Proactively builds relationship with 'business to close' clients and secures confirmation of order.
• Establish relationships with our clients to become their 'Trusted Advisor' on matters pertaining to colleague development.
• Diarise meetings with new and existing clients.
• Maintains regular contact with recently active clients in order to secure further business opportunities.
• Research target potential customers and initiates contact with them.
Operational:
• Prepares cost models for ALL opportunities to ensure that profit is maximised.
• Maintains records relating to all opportunities so that their status can be monitored by colleagues and management.
• Plans for training administration to ensure that our service delivery meets or exceeds quality and commercial requirements.
People:
• Effectively briefs course tutors to ensure that they understand the client's and TTT's requirements.
• Effectively communicates to any quality, commercial or timing issues to Head of Sales so enables prompt and appropriate action to be taken.
Financial:
• Ensures training services are delivered on budget.
• Ensures contract services are delivered on budget.
• Regularly updates sales forecast to help ensure that divisional forecasts are as accurate as possible.
• Prepares and issues purchase orders to ensure that supplier charges are effectively managed.




Key Skills:
• Extensive sales experience in Services/Training Industry.
• Communication/people skills.
• Must be able to provide clear and accurate forecasting.
• Previous CRM experience.
• Target driven.
• Detail-Oriented and Organised.
• Team player.
• Relationship (trust) building.
• Skilled Negotiator.
• Clear and professional telephone manner.
• Able to write sales proposals in clear and accurate English with an appropriate tone.
• Able to prioritise work to meet multiple deadlines.
• Confident outward manner and able to hold meetings with key decision makers in client businesses.

Experience:

• Significant experience of selling services.
• Experience of ensuring that service delivery meets customer requirements.
• Some exposure to the construction industry and professional institutions would be advantageous.

• Ensures all relevant parties are aware of an issue once it is identified and works with others to resolve it and shares lessons learned.
